Can permanant tattoo cause allergies?

i've got very sensitive skin.. i always get allergy wit henna tattoos.. can permanant tattoo cause allergy aswell??

Can permanant tattoo cause allergies?
Yes, it is possible to be allergic to tattoo inks. Tattoo ink is not regulated by the FDA for human use (however it is regulated for farm use...go figure huh? lol). Some artist make their own inks while other's order ink from companies. Not all companies and artist make their inks the same, so while someone may be allergic to one brand/one artist's ink, they may not be allergic to another. Typically the pigment in red's is the one to cause an allergic reaction in people compared to other colors.

Reply:not allergies, but it could irritate your skin when you first get it.
Reply:I have very very sensitive skin to the point that i can only use one kind of soap. Or my skin will dry out so bad that i get patch's of dry skin that will brake open and bleed. But i have 5 tattoo's and have never had a problem with any of the ink.One thing you will have to look at is some people cant take certain kinds of color ink. My sister and mom cant take red and pink. But i can take it and it dose not bother me. But you will not know if you can or not until you get one. All i can say to you is try a small one first to see if you can take it first. Your skin might not like hennas tattoo's because of what is in it. Hope this helps.
Reply:I have sensitive skin as well... i was unsure when i got my 1st tattoo how it was going to be ... but it was totally fine... my skin my not be as sensitive as yours though.. Henna and permanat tattoos are different so it may be different... i would talk to your doctor to see if they can recomend anything in case of swelling also ask the tattoo arist who will be doing the tattoo .. one of them should be able to help u out ... im sure plenty of people who have sensitive skin have gotten tattoos
Reply:The tattoo artist I use has disclaimers in his shop about his ink. Depending on the ink they use you could be higly allergic to it. Some have high concentrations of sulfur others don't so you may want to talk to the place that will be doing it and check into the ink they use.
Reply:Yes. Very rarely, some people will have an allergy to red inks used in tattoos. However, this reaction is EXTREMELY rare, and I've seen people with some very sensitive skin heal tattoos just fine. But yes, it's possible
Reply:The allergy you could get is some guys get put off by a girl with a tattoo. It could be the best man walks away from you
