Every year I get dry skin on my face, why?

Every year as the weather gets warm- late spring, early summer, along with seasonal allergies the skin around my mouth, chin, nose becomes VERY dry and painful. Burns, itches, flakes. Put anything on it burns, still a vat of vaseline won't help. Doctors, even dermatologists don't know what it is. It is so distressing and uncomfortable I am in tears. Only relief is if the skin is wet but then it just gets dryer. It will go away then return a time or two, not as bad and then it doesn't happen again until next year. It has been 5 or so years so far. Any ideas? I'm desperate.

Sounds like an allergy and vaseline is the worst thing to choose it actually hardens skin not softens it contrary to what people think. It's oil - not healthy for you either.

Have you tried pure and natural products? Vitamin e both orally and on your skin? Water, do you drink a lot during this time??
Reply:If your skin is a dry, and you are bothered by it, I suggest you try using Zenmed Sensitive Skin Care

System from Zenmed or Autopalm from Skinstore.com

Zenmend has no side effects and it's non-irritant to the

skin. It's proven to works fast and it povides Maximum

results! It's certainly a good lotion to prevent further

outbreaks.

Another product that I think is effective is Autopalm. This

dry skin mlm is one of the best seller at skinstore.com now.

(Skinstore.com holds more than 10,000 skin care products) It's pretty effective, and worth the dollar paid out.

Here's are some good references:

Reply:Drink a ton of water. Check with your dermatologist to see if you have a condition too - it might be eczema or a strong reaction to the changing of the humidity in the air - also try a humidifier.
Reply:My son gets something like that around his mouth. He licks the rash and that just keeps it wet. He says it is irratating. And it looks bad too.

The remedy I am suggesting sounds weird (and looks terrible, since it is white colored and looks alot like toothpaste, but I tried a diaper rash cream on it (before he goes to sleep at night), and by morning the rash looks much better. It is usually healed up in a few nights. (I think the rash is a form of yeast, but the Dr's, haven't said that, they prescribe a cortisone, that doesn't work as well as the diaper rash cream). Zinc Oxide is the active ingredient in it. You may want to give that a try (when you aren't expecting company)! : )
Reply:Have you ever tried using a Lotion with Cocoa Butter?

My skin itches like that too, sometimes it's from your sweat.
