I've had a dry skin allergy, since childhood. Can any one help with the name of it and what can help me?

I have tried so many types of lotions %26amp; soaps, yet nothing helps. Many people think I don't shower enough, yada, yada, yada; and the avereage dr. just tells me to use lotions after showers. I've all but given up on remmities and need some information.

Have you tried Vaseline intensive care lotion?
Reply:Sounds like eczema. Regular over the counter lotions won't help - you need a prescription cream that contains steroids. Try seeing a dermatologist. With the right prescription, it will clear up in no time.

In the mean time, try applying a hydrocortisone cream (up t 1%) on the worst areas, followed by Eucerin lotion. It won't heal it completely, but it will help keep it at bay until you can get in to see the dermatologist.
Reply:try cocoa buttter or aloe vera
