she is 8 t0 9 months old the doctor does not have it together
Have a rockweiller dog that I think has allergies on her skin what can i do to help her?
i had the same problem with my dog...i gave him benadryl before i took him to the vet...it worked a lil bit until i got him to the vet...good luck...and try to get your dog to the vet ASAP...
Reply:take your ROTTWEILER to the vet and they will test her. If your vet has no idea, take her to someone else.
Reply:Get that dog to a vet NOW. Especially if it is losing hair and the skin below has a scabby appearance. I had a Rotty once, and he died from a form of mange that consumed his skin. We spent thousands trying to save him. They have new treatments now, and the sooner you catch it, the sooner you can save it. If the vet you use is no good, find another. If it is allergies, they will probably prescribe some predinsone(sp).
Reply:I have 2 pitbulls that have allergies, take them to the vet and have allergy testing done. Also watch what they eat and if they are itchy and scratching you can give them liquid Benedryl (advised by my vet) to give them some relief. The dog needs to see the vet though, because the allergies may need a more aggressive treatment
Reply:rub her down with olive oil
Reply:I have a rotti also. She may have an allergy to fleas. What makes you think it is skin allergies? Try having her bathed by a pro that uses a medicated shampoo. Tell them of this thought you have.I've been giving my Rotti garlic mixed in her food everyday since she was a pup. That also keeps the fleas off %26amp; gives her good breath. She is now 8yrs old, and has been fine.
Reply:nothing I hate to break it to ya but your dog is gonna die probably sometime in the next 33 seconds. GOOD LUCK :(
Reply:Sometimes dogs have a reaction to Plastic. If you feed in that, get rid of it. I bath my dog in water only with one of those rubber gloves. My dog loves it,she shines, smells good %26amp; no more itch ;) Try this %26amp; I believe you will see a difference in a few short days. If not, keep looking for answers----Good Luck
Reply:Most dogs develop allergies to food. Dogs can also have skin problems arise from weather. I would recommend going to the vet to insure it is an allergy. Do not spend too much on the allergy testing itself, it is very expensive and your dog is bound to be allergic to something. For food try to stay away from foods with a lot of preservatives. You can replace or supplement her meals with brown rice and ground veal. If you find that she has hots spots or a fungal infection try bathing her with Nizoral shampoo (it can be found at most stores) it will work!! Good luck
Reply:Find another vet to see the dog. Skin allergies can be caused by certain dog shampoos %26amp; soaps. Also, it could be a rash from the result of eating wrong foods (it may even be allergic to certain dog foods).
